There are times when God has an Attitude !

Sometimes God is Happy,
and other Times He is Angry.
God hates SIN but He Loves the Sinner

There are times when God has an Attitude !

The Bible tells us there are times when God is angry, other times he rejoices. Today we will consider some of the attitudes of our Lord.

Cities can and do have spirits that seek to govern and control. This applies also to Nations. The Bible tell us in Psalms 7:11 God is a just judge, And God is angry with the wicked every day.

Now we know that God loves the “Sinner,” so we question how can he be angry with the wicked? Romans 5:8 But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Is there a difference between a sinner and the wicked? All of us are sinners before we come to Jesus, but the wicked are those who give themselves over to a spirit of evil to work atrocious acts. They are driven to accomplish ungodly behavior themselves and to influence others to do likewise.

We understand we are in a spiritual battle and not a war against flesh and blood, so we realize that the oppressor is satan and his hosts, not people.

In the Old Testament, God laid out guide lines of death as judgment for certain wickedness that he detested. Leviticus 20:23 And you shall not walk in the customs of the nation that I am driving out before you, for they did all these things, and therefore I detested them. God did Not want us to accept these kinds of wickedness as normal.

What were these customs that God hated : These abominable customs are listed in Leviticus 20 verses 1 through 22 and God demanded the death penalty over those who practiced them.

Listed first was the sacrificing of children to the god Molek, verses 1-5. Included were those who refused to speak out against this murder of the innocent by looking the other way.

Verse 6 “God warns about witches and fortunetellers; ‘I will set my face against anyone who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute themselves by following them.

In verse 9 God demands respect to parents;  “‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.

Verses 10 through 16 deal with Sex and perversion: including adultery, fornication and incest' He has ordained marriage between a man and a woman.

God hates Homosexuality: “‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable.  They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. Romans confirms and agrees; see Romans chapter 1:6  For this reason God gave them over to dishonorable passions. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. Likewise, the men abandoned natural relations with women and burned with lust for one another.

Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Furthermore, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, He gave them up to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.

Verses 15 – 16 Man or woman who commits sex with animals.

Verse 27 “‘A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put to death.

22 “God says to; ‘Keep all my decrees and laws and follow them, You must NOT live according to the customs of the nations I am going to drive out before you. Because they did all these things, I abhorred them.

Today we will pray over our city, most of our citizens are simple sinners, but they still need to come to Jesus.

We will also pray for our State and our Nation and take authority over those spirits who would attempt to destroy our land.

God promises to fight for us, but we must make our declarations of victory and come against the powers of darkness that seek to put out the light of the Gospel.

There is another verse in Zephaniah 3: 17-19 That encourages us;

The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. Behold, at that time I will deal with all your oppressors. And I will save the lame and gather the outcast, and I will change their shame into praise and renown in all the earth. I will turn back your captivity before your eyes, says the Lord.

We like this verse that tells us God is happy with us, and rejoices and sings over us. He will vindicate us and bring retribution against our oppressor.

Romans 8: 35-38  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Isaiah 62:3 You will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow. You will be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, a royal diadem in the palm of your God.  No longer will you be called Forsaken, nor your land named Desolate; but you will be called Hephzibah,  (meaning - - "my delight is in her") and your land Beulah; for the LORD will take delight in you, and you will be His bride … You are loved by the Lord God.

Yes, God's attitude toward you as a child of His Kingdom is that He is The Lord your God and He is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
