  Walk Through the Fire As we gather to pray over our city, our State and our Nation, we shall consider that often in our lives there is trouble and Christians are not exempt from bad things that happen.  However as believers we are never alone and God is with us and in us through every attempt of Satan to defeat us. God sends his angels to protect you and watch over you even as you pass through the cold water or walk through the heat of the fire. God knows your very name. Reading a portion from Isaiah chapter 43: The prophet proclaims; Now this is what the LORD says “ Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine! I will be with you; and when you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, and the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; Because you are precious and honored in My sight, and because I love you, Do not be afraid, for I am with you.   Jesus came Once as a baby, but He will come Again, the Second Time as our King Christmas is the time we celebrate the birth of Jesus the Messiah. We are reminded that Jesus came the first time as a tiny baby, but today we will explore the fact that he is coming again in the clouds to receive all who have invited Jesus to live in their lives. There are signs all around us indicate that it may be soon. Recently two planets Jupiter and Saturn, the two largest planets in our solar system came together to form what is sometimes referred to as  “Christmas Star ” or the Star of Bethlehem.  We understand it was two planets - - but this conjuncture only occurs about every 800 years.  Is this a sign of Jesus coming again? ? Verily verily I say onto you,  This could    have been the Star that announced the first coming of Jesus our Lord. Perhaps God is announcing in the heavens that Jesus will soon come a second time and for each of us, it is good to keep the slate clean. We understand

  And He Gave Gifts unto Men Did you ever receive a gift but it wasn't what you really wanted, and so you were not grateful? You may have been polite and thanked the person, but it was not valuable to you. Some gifts that come from the heart are more precious than expensive presents. Hand made items given to you by your children are valued keepsakes. God has given us His best gift and that was his only begotten son. Jesus also is the bearer of Valuable gifts. We are approaching the celebration of Christmas. It is the time we acknowledge the birth of Jesus our King. Yes, our King was born in a stable and laid in a manger wrapped in swaddling clothes while angels sang Glory to God in the Highest and peace on earth and to all men. It was a holy night when God presented His gift to the world. Shepherds came to worship Him as they were led to the stable by a bright and shining star.   Get off your High Horse In the Bible; the book of Genesis, Cain and Abel were the first two sons of Adam and Eve, Cain , the firstborn, was a farmer,  and his brother Abel  was a shepherd.  The brothers made sacrifices to God,  each of his own produce, but God favored Abel's sacrifice instead of Cain's. Cain was jealous and envious of his brother and decided to murder Abel. Now it so happened that God was still having face to face meetings and he came to Cain asking where is your brother? Of course God knew all about it, but he was looking for repentance and sorrow, but instead he was faced with a rebellious and Smart Alec remark; “Am I my brother's keeper?” God replied, your brother's blood cries out from the ground and you are to be banished from your family and sent far away. I wondered about this, if God had of showed up the day before perhaps the murder could have been prevented and the two brother's reconciled. However the truth is that at times ev

  Whisper - - or Shout ?? Jesus said in Matthew 6: " And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray loud prayers saying, "Lord I am thankful that I am NOT like those sinners, because they love to be seen by others.  I tell  you they already have their full reward. When you pray, go into your closet (private room,) shut your door, and pray to your Father in secret.   Angels Watching Over Me  Jochebed, was a desperate mother as she dabbed pitch in a small basket to make it water proof, and trusted her older daughter, Miriam to carry the baby boy inside the basket and place it in the water where the Princess would come to bathe. You will remember the story how the Princes discovered the baby Moses, and decided to raise him as her own. That day, besides the babies sister, there were Angels watching over the child and orchestrating the entire delivery process. Angels are usually invisible spirit beings, but they often appear as people.   The Glory Cloud  The cloud of Glory signified God's presence,  was visible many times in the Bible.  Today there are some who say they have seen the cloud, and I don't doubt their word, but although I have felt the presence of the Lord, I have not seen any of the claimed manifestations of a cloud, gold dust or fire. Joshua Mills in his book tells us there are three manifestations of the glory. The First manifestation is just a feeling when you know God is present. Second a shining which may appear as a cloud, a light, even on people's faces. Third the thick cloud of glory so heavy that one can not stand, and often they lay prostrate before the Lord in adoration and worship. In the Old Testament, the glory cloud was designed to lead the children of Israel, to protect them from the heat of the day, and to warm them at night. Exodus 13:21 The Lord was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give
