The Light of Life will Heal our Soul as well as our Body -

We are reminded that the Bible says, God is Light and there is no darkness in Him at all. 1 John 1:5. Jesus said “I am the Light of the world. John 8:12

Hebrews 1:3 goes into even more detail concerning this characteristic of God and Christ. It says, “He is the sole expression of the Glory of God - - (the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine,) and He is the very image of (God's) nature.” 

Luke's Gospel restates the theme of the soul being healed in His Light;

Luke 11:34-36 Your eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye (your conscience) is sound and fulfilling its office, your whole body is full of light; but when it is not sound and is not fulfilling it's office, your body is full of darkness. Be careful, therefore that the light that is in you is not darkness. If then your entire body is illuminated, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright (with light,) as when a lamp with its bright rays gives you light.

This is speaking about healing your inner man. The eye is the window to the soul - - The soul is our mind, our will and our emotions. Among other things your mind was designed to rightly divide good thoughts from bad, to form healthy powers of reasoning and to operate with a clean creative imagination. So how do you heal the mind and free it to execute it's office?

Understand for everything that is real, there is a counterfeit. Do not accept New Age teaching on light, or other philosophy that is similar, and know that the devil often comes as an “Angel of Light.” Realize that it is JESUS who is the True Light and this message must line up with Scripture and focus on Jesus.

Jesus says it will happen when your whole body is full of light. His light drives out the darkness caused by wounds in your inner man. Those wounds control your thoughts, but when He heals them with His light, your mind becomes sound.

The job of your will is to make good Spirit-led decisions so you are not directed or controlled by the pain of your wounds. When your whole body is full of light, you become healed and able to discern the perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).

The light of Christ not only heals your wounded soul, but also your body. When Christ out-rays His light into your physical being, it acts like medicine with power to cure any disease.

Malachi 4:2 Unto you who revere and worshipfully fear My name, shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings and His beams - - -

The word translated healing is “marpe,” which also means “a cure,” literally (concretely) a medicine. His light can be the antidote for disease especially when you take it regularly, like medicine.

A young couple in Europe began to decree scripture verses about light and make decrees over their autistic son. He was three years old and had never uttered a word or made a sound. He spent his days opening and shutting doors and cabinets. He never smiled or looked anyone in the eye and he also wouldn't let anyone hug or kiss him, which devastated his parents. After bombarding their son with scriptures about the Light, numerous time each day, dispensing the Word like medicine, there was no change, but suddenly one day, while the therapist was present, a single, loud cry came pouring out of the child. From that moment on his healing progressed steadily. Today the boy speaks 3 languages, goes to school and is living the life of a happy healthy kid. He was healed in both soul and body by the Light of the world, Jesus Christ.

Your voice releases the light . . . You release His light from your spirit man into the rest of your being so you can bring life into every dark place - - with your words. Yes, It happens through your decrees.

You probably know that light is involved in a huge percentage of cosmetic treatments offered by practitioners in the esthetics industry. Light therapy and laser devices harness and release light energy that triggers your body to accelerate its natural skin renewal. It is a scientific fact that your skin uses light as a source of energy, to fuel the repair and rejuvenation of damaged cells. Imagine then the power of God's light to transform your appearance.

Matthew 17:1-2,5 Jesus took Peter, James and John with him up on a high mountain, and His appearance underwent a change in their presence; and His face shone clear and bright like the sun.

Psalms 36:9 says, “For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light do we see light.” A fountain of life is available from within your spirit man. As you proclaim these truths over yourself the light of the Holy Spirit responds by bringing Life-giving power to every cell in your body.

It is your voice speaking Scripture that releases Light - - - and it happens with your decrees as you speak scriptures about Light, and speak decrees of declaration. Your decrees establish the outcome. Take care to keep your thoughts and words in line with God's Word.

Today as we pray over our city, our State our Nation and our World, there are many of our citizens who are walking in darkness in their minds full of fear, their attitudes of defeat and helplessness, and in bodies weak and sickly. There are also those who knowingly have poisoned their bodies through alcohol, drug abuse and promiscuous living, but the glorious light of Jesus will bring them out of the pit of darkness if they will come to the cross and lay it all down at His feet.

As we pray today over our cities, let us make decrees and declarations that the light of the Gospel will cause our citizens to be aware of the Love of God to bring them to repentance and a walk of faith in Jesus to receive “Jesus, the Light of the World.”

We also pray for our citizens who are fellow believers that they will become enlightened that there is more that God has for them. We decree that they will be encouraged, strengthened and energized to keep walking close to Jesus so that His glorious Light will shine upon them.
