Secrets from Heaven

Did you know that God has secrets and He is very willing to share with Christian Believers?

God desires that we meet with him daily in “The Secret Place” that is a quiet place you have chosen to read your Bible, to praise, worship and pray to our Lord. It is there that He will share his secrets with you. Often He reveals meaning to the Word of God as you study and pray.

There are some secrets that God will not share here on this earth. Many of our Questions especially, “Why did this happen?” - - must wait until we see him face to face.

Today I want to speak about secrets from Heaven when God deposits a secret into your spirit.

At our Bible study at church, on Sunday Mornings we have been studying about the Holy Spirit and His Gifts. Jesus told his followers it is important that you be baptized with the Holy Spirit to receive the power you need to be my witnesses.

To be baptized in the Holy Spirit you must first be a Born-Again Christian, by inviting Jesus Christ into your life. Next you must desire to be baptized in the Holy spirit, where Jesus immerses you into the Holy Spirit and you are not only immersed but are filled with the fire of Pentecost. The initial evidence is that each person will speak in other tongues a language they did not know before. It is good to stay there loving on Jesus until the tongues come.

Those who do not speak in other tongues the reason is because they fail to use their voice and open their mouth and allow the words to flow forth. They are able to speak and they could speak, but for reasons of fear or false teaching in the past, they hold back. It is suggested to these persons to continue to seek Jesus in a quiet place in their home or car and allow the words to pour forth from their spirit. The words that come in another tongue is the new prayer language that should be used often as you pray over your family, yourselves and problems in this world. This language always prays according to God's will and not our own will.

Paul in 1 Corinthians lists nine gifts of the Holy Spirit that are available after a person has been baptized in the Holy Spirit. Reverend Howard Carter spent 30 years ministering under the power of the Holy Spirit and studying the gifts and he places them in three categories. Gifts of Inspiration: Gifts of Revelation, and Gifts of Power.

Today, we will delve into the Gifts of Revelation which are; The Word of Wisdom, the Word of Knowledge and the Gift of Discerning of spirits.

Basically these gifts and NOT from diligent natural study, but are actually supernatural words dropped into our spirit from God Himself. They are messages from heaven that we would not normally know about but are for that moment given to us. These gifts will come in the form of an inner witness, an audible voice, a dream, or a vision often seen while we are awake. 

The Word of Wisdom is given to solve a problem, prevent a tragedy, answer a question or bring direction to a puzzle or problem. The Word of Wisdom is both present and future and the Bible has many illustrations of this gift in operation.

The Word of Knowledge is when God drops into your Spirit a secret about a person, event or happening that ordinarily you could not know unless God revealed it to you.

As a young boy, Joseph saw in dreams about his future as a ruler over a land.

Moses saw a burning bush and heard an audible voice give him directions about the future.

Daniel saw visions that told of devastation to come because the people were not worshiping God but were following the false gods of those around them. These visions also refer to the last days here on earth.

John on the Island where he was a prisoner because of his faith, saw visions about the seven churches, and his vision also refers to the present day church.

Jesus spent 40 days fasting in the wilderness prior to beginning His ministry, and during that time He was in direct communion with His Father God. It was no doubt then that the plans of the Father were revealed to Jesus as to how He would minister, and eventually suffer and die for the sins of the world. How after three days he would rise from the dead, show Himself for 40 days to hundreds of believers, and as witnesses watched, he would then be caught up into heaven.

Daily, Jesus spent hours communicating with His Father God, about the day's work ahead. From the time of His water baptism by John the Baptist, the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus and he operated in the gifts but not tongues and interpretation. Jesus had no need of tongues, because he already knew every language, and needed no interpretation.

The gifts of Discerning of Spirits flowed through him daily. He saw both into the angelic and also into the demonic worlds. Jesus saw those who were possessed of unclean spirits and he cast them out. He knew ahead of time what would occur.

Jesus also could see a persons spiritual condition. He discerned by the Word of Wisdom that Nathaniel was an Israelite in whom there was no guile. The Word of Knowledge was often flowing. He told Nathaniel, I saw you under the fig tree. This was revelation to Jesus by a vision as he saw what was happening elsewhere.

Jesus told His disciples to go to a certain place and there they would find a donkey and her colt, and to bring them to Him. He could see and know things before they happened.

From Mark chapter 10 Jesus tried to reveal to his disciples what was ahead in just a few days.

And Jesus went to the region of Judea and beyond the Jordan, and crowds gathered to him again. And again, as was his custom, he taught them.

After a long day of teaching and ministering, Jesus took His twelve disciples aside, and began to tell them in detail what was soon to happen to him, saying, "See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him over to the Gentiles. And they will mock him and spit on him, and flog him and kill him. And after three days he will rise."

(The disciples ears were dull and all they could think about was who would be first sitting next to Jesus in the kingdom.

Acts chapter 9 tells us of the conversion of Saul who became Paul the Apostle. Notice that both Ananias and Saul had a vision from God with the Word of Wisdom about the future.

Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.”

So the Lord said to him, “Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying.  And in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he might receive his sight.” Then Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem. But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name’s sake.”

And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized. (I believe the scales also fell from his spiritual eyes to see the truth about Jesus.) Then Saul spent some days with the disciples at Damascus.

You may wonder why Saul stayed several day with the disciples - - well think about it - -Perhaps it was because he needed their testimonies about seeing Jesus alive to give him spiritual strength for what was ahead.  Later Saul spent three years in Arabia seeking God's face and being stabilized and taught by God himself secrets in the Word and in the Holy Ghost.

Today God is still revealing to His Believers - - secrets from heaven. Words of Knowledge of what is happening, and Words of Wisdom about the future, including Prophesy about people places and events.

Today as we pray over our city, our State and our Nation, God is desiring to use these gifts in us as His children. He will reveal to us certain people or areas in our neighborhoods to pray over. He will show us situations and problems that need supernatural angelic hosts sent to war against certain needs. We must charge, prophesy, and make our declarations that God's will be done and the enemy will be defeated. Bondage must be broken, and hearts aligned with God's will.

Be a willing vessel to allow God's Holy Spirit to pray through you, and to grant you His secrets from heaven as you minister according to His will here on earth.
