It's all about Jesus

It's all about Jesus

Jesus was different than other men in that according to John 3:16; He is God's son and was sent to earth to become the sacrifice for our sins.

In the Old Testament, the Priest often made sacrifices of animals for the sins of the people. Once a year the High Priest would enter the holy place and sprinkle blood to atone for his sins and the sins of the people. Jesus came to be the “once and for all” sacrifice for sin, and bring a New Covenant.

The Bible tells us in Romans 5 and also in 1 Corinthians 15 Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being;” (It was through Adam that human life was given to mankind. the last Adam (Which is Christ Jesus) became a life-giving spirit. (When we invite Jesus into our life, he gives us eternal life in our heart – or our spirit.)

But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. (So first we are born as a baby into this world and we receive life from our parents, actually from Adam our great great great grandfather.) The first man, Adam was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man, (Jesus) is from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, (Adam was made from mud or dust, and to dust we shall also return unless Jesus comes before we die,) and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, (we are human just like Adam was, and when we come to Jesus ) we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.

The Bible says, we become like Jesus as we keep in His presence by study and attending teachings like this.

So what else made Jesus different from Adam? You will remember that when Adam was in the garden he was created in the image of God, so at that time, he was without sin, and was innocent. However Adam and Eve his wife, had the power of choice or “Free Will.” They were tempted by the devil to disobey God and eat of the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Now they knew the difference and they also became sinners. There fore, Adam and Eve passed on to you and to me and to all others, the sin nature, which also had consequences which is death, and unless a person has Jesus when they die, the result is hell and its torments. - - - pause.

So we see the first Adam who brought forth human life (and death) to mankind.

Jesus is spoken of as being the second or last Adam as a picture because Jesus brings eternal life to all who will receive Him.

You will remember the happening of the angel appearing to the virgin Mary and telling her that she was chosen to bear the Savior of the World, and she questioned and wondered how this could be as she had never know a man and was a virgin. The angel explained that the Holy Spirit would by a miraculous conception cause her to become with child and that God himself would be the Father. Mary humbly volunteered by saying, “Let it be so.” Prophets of many years prior to this prophesied that Jesus would be born of a Virgin, so let us examine what does this really mean?

Simply, No one else on earth was holy and righteous enough to be the sacrifice because all humans had Adams Blood. Jesus would not have Adam's blood which carried the sin nature. Therefore Jesus could atone for the sins of the World. (John 3:16) Science tells us that the babies blood comes from their father, so that meant that Jesus Blood was Holy and was able to wash away our sins.

Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice suffering physical death so that we might have everlasting life. If you have not already done so, will you receive Jesus into your life today?  He is offering you life eternal.
