Do This Often In remembrance - - -

Image
Do This Often In remembrance - - -    Today We are reminded in 1 Corinthians 11:23-32 the declaration of Jesus to eat this bread which is my flesh and drink this cup of the new covenant which is my blood shed for you.  Do this often in remembrance of my death until I come to receive you onto myself. When I was a child, I would listen to a Saturday morning radio story time called, "Let's Pretend."  To pretend means to imagine something is real.  Your imagination takes you to places no one else can see.  Little girls pretend to have a tea party with their dolls.  The dolls speak, and the water becomes real tea as they share together. Imagination is a powerful tool as you come to pray because you are able to "See it done" as you ask God to bring an answer.  Today we are going to "pretend," we are going to imagine that Jesus is here, setting before you bread and wine as we prepare for communion.  ...

Lord Heal our Land

Image
Lord Heal our Land Today as we go to prayer over our cities, our nations and our world, we will be referring to the word “LAND.” It is necessary to first lay a foundation for today's message: In Genesis 2:7 “ And the LORD God formed man  of   the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Let us examine this scripture and notice that man was formed from dust and to dust he shall return, as is often sited at a funeral service. So we understand that Adam was formed from a mud pie into the shape of a likeness of God and that mud is dust mixed with water, and mud can also be called dirt and dirt is often called land. Land is often bare, but it can have crops planted and growing on it, fruit and grain and sustenance. Land can also be our body as we are dust – dirt and mud.   If God is going to heal our “LAND” may it also include our body, our property, our place where we live, our ...

Who Is Jesus? Chapter 5 - Water from a Rock

Image
Who Is Jesus? Chapter 5 - Water from a Rock (That Rock is Christ) We are reminded that the Old Testament offers types, shadows and pictures of Jesus. Today we will consider bread, water and a rock. Every morning the children of Israel were fed bread from heaven, and they called it manna. And we considered in the New Testament that Jesus said, "I am the bread from Heaven, and I am the bread of Life." Now we turn to look at a need for water to quench thirst. As the Children of Israel traveled to an area where there was no water; They complained with loud murmuring to Moses. Both they and their herds were thirsty and they let Moses know it. Moses cried onto God saying, "What shall I do, these people are ready to stone me?" God gave Moses instructions to strike the rock at Horeb with his rod, and water gushed out like a river. Exodus 17:6 "Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike the rock...

Things Didn't Look so Good ! !

Exodus 14 tells us of the Children of Israel leaving Egypt, and stopping to camp at the Red Sea. Pharaoh and his officials declared, “What have we done? We have let the Israelites go and have lost their services!”  So Pharaoh had his chariot made ready and took his army with 600 of the best chariots along with all the other chariots and officers over them, and pursued the Israelites, and As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, terrified and cried out to the LORD.  What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?  There they were; the red sea before them and Pharaoh behind them. - - Things didn't look so good. Joseph had bragged about his dreams, and his brothers were jealous of their father's attention to Joseph. When he arrived with lunch for them, they bound him and put him in a pit while they decided how to kill him. Can you imagine the anxiety Joseph must have experienced while in that deep hole? - - Things didn't look so good. ...

Positive declaration prayers to defeat Negative situations

Natural and Supernatural Forces  Many years ago I attended a short conference with Morris Cerullo on prayer and how to get answers from God. For over 70 years; Dr. Morris Cerullo   has trained millions of Nationals all over the world, who have gone on to teach and train millions more. It is important to train others how to organize, set up ministries, teach and preach, lay hands on the sick, to pray powerful prayers and to make declarations. Today I will share the basics of how to work with God to solve problems. First we must realize that we live in a world of balances. There are the five physical senses, and there are also spiritual senses where God speaks to us and reveals to us His secrets, through the gifts of the Holy Spirit using prophesy, words of knowledge and words of wisdom. On this earth there are natural and spiritual forces, both positive and negative forces. God is a Good God and the Devil is a BAD devil ; War and Peace, Lost...

Why Are You Afraid?

Image
Why are You Afraid? Adam and Eve were the first persons to be afraid. After they ate of the forbidden fruit, God came to them in the garden calling for them, but they hid because they were afraid. It was not their sin that worried them, it was the fact that they were naked, and now they realized it. As a young child, Samuel was taught to listen to the voice of God, and not to be afraid to obey and speak out even if it would upset others. His first encounter with the voice of God was disturbing for sure. He had to tell the Priest Eli things that were not so exciting. Gideon was one who was extremely fearful when an angel came to him telling him to lead his people into battle. His arguments were, I am nothing, I am the least, but as he considered that this was important to God, he relented, but not without some arguing and testing to make sure he was doing the right thing. God was willing to put up with Gideon's fear, because he knew that a conqueror ...

Silly Women - - and also Silly Men

Silly Women - - and also Silly Men (Message at our Praying Over our City Meeting) Early in our marriage, my husband wanted to buy a used pickup so he could use it for work, and I could have a car for my needs. He selected a really good one, and the next day the salesman showed up at my door with a blank contract. The man asked me to sign it so my husband could pick up his truck. I told him that my husband was not home to sign, but the salesman said, “Just trust me, and sign your husband's name and I will fill it in later.” So I did. The truck was ours and a few days later a payment book arrived in the mail, but it was for a much larger amount than we had agree upon. I showed my husband and he took the payment book, and went right down to the dealer. The dealer pulled out the contract and said, “Isn't this your signature?” My husband said, “NO it is NOT my signature.” After an explanation and a nice gentlemanly talk, the dealer agreed to send us a new pay...
