These three Bear Witness

These three Bear Witness

The Bible is full of numbers that seem to please God. He likes sets of three, sets of seven and also ten. Special meaning and significance is given to these various sets of numbers.

In Proverbs chapter 6, it is stated, these six things God hates, yes even seven are an abomination to Him.  A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that devises wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaks lies, and he that sows discord among brethren.

According to Christian tradition the seven deadly sins are: envy, gluttony, greed or covetousness, lust, pride, sloth or laziness and wrath. (They forgot lying which God hates.)

Paul says in 2 Corinthians 13; In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

Matthew 18: Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name,  I am there in the midst of them.”  God will answer the prayer of agreement between two or three believers.

When a person comes to Jesus and invites Him into their heart, there is an inner witness that Jesus has come in to abide. According to: Romans 8:16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God. God and His Holy Spirit testify to the person that Jesus has come to live within. This is a covenant agreement between God and you.

1 JOHN 5:1, 4-10 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him.
For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he has testified of his Son. He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself:

Let us take another look here: In heaven Three bear witness: The Father, the Word (which is Jesus) and the Holy Spirit – and these three are one. What are they witnessing to? According to verse one, they are agreeing that Jesus is indeed the Messiah, the Christ, who was born of God and sent to earth to redeem mankind.

Then there are three on Earth that bear witness. The Holy Spirit, the water and the blood, and these three agree in one. We can take this as the natural birth of a child when the water breaks and there is blood mingled with the water, but also we can understand that Jesus is the Living Water, His Blood that cleanses us from sin is a witness and the Holy Spirit brings eternal life into our Spirit when we believe and receive Jesus.

The number three stands for completeness; The number seven also stands for perfection and completeness.  Revelation speaks of the Seven spirits that bless God's throne, possibly angelic beings.

Jesus ministered for 3 years, and he was 33 years old when he was crucified. He died, was buried but rose again on the third day. Jesus conquered death, hell and the grave. Jesus is the same; yesterday, today and forever.

The realm of the Spirit is three: FAITH, the ANOINTING, and the GLOFY.  Our faith to receive Salvation, the Anointing we receive to go forth and be witnesses, and the Glory as we enter into the Holy of Hollies to worship in the presence of God.

As there are three realms of the Spirit, there are three dimensions within mankind;  Spirit, Soul and Body.  The first is the Spirit-man. The second is the soul.

Scripture tells us in Hebrews 4:12 the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double -edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart;

Our spirit is located within what the Word calls our heart.

Our Soul is comprised of our mind, will and our emotions.

The third dimension is our physical body which is our temporary tent. Basically we are a spirit being who has a soul and lives in a physical body.

Interesting enough the three dimensions of man respond to the three realms in the spirit. The first dimension of mankind, the spirit-man, responds to the realm of faith. Your spirit-man is the initial point of contact for any interaction with the Spirit realm. When God brings the revelation of salvation to our lives, it is our spirit-man that reaches out in faith to receive it. We cannot receive the blessings of God in bodily form until we have first received them in our spirit-man.

The impartation of God always comes first in the Spirit before it manifests physically. That is why our spirit-man dimension corresponds with the realm of faith.

On the other hand, our soul (mind, will, and emotions) is the dimension that responds to the realm of the anointing. In the anointing, our soul dimension is activated, as you feel something, and your emotions are at an all-time high. We might laugh, cry or feel great comfort, healing or excitement when the anointing touches you.

When we encounter the realm of the anointing, therefore, it connects with our soul dimension, and we feel an awareness of the Spirit, heat, or electricity of His power and we must worship.

What begins in the spirit flows to our soul, and then to our bodies. It is our bodies that respond to the realm of the Glory. The Glory does for us what we cannot do for ourselves. Signs may follow, such as sweet fragrances in the air, and feelings of comfort and awe in God's Holy Presence.

It is the anointing that breaks the yoke of bondage and as we learn to move in His anointing and glory, we will discover that our words and not our own, but are anointed by the Lord to share truth to those we minister to.

Praying from the Glory; Our prayers will have more effect as we pray for the lost, and confess that they are open to receive the message of salvation and become a new creature in Christ.

We are agreeing with Heaven, with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit that God's will shall be done in the hearts of our citizens in our city, in our State and in our Nation.

These three are "one" and they will bear witness that God hears and will answer your prayers.
